Preparation
For storage purposes, Dräger recommends using the flat
pouch in which the chemical protective suit was delivered.
Spread out the chemical protective suit evenly on the floor.
Visual inspection: The chemical protective suit, protective
boots and gloves may not have holes or tears.
Do not use damaged chemical protective suits. Before
using the equipment for the first time, carry out leak test to
detect possible damages due to transportation, after that
observe the maintenance intervals (see "Maintenance Inter-
vals" on page 31).

from fogging.
Do not treat the visor with antimisting agent, this would
destroy the antifog coating.
Check the function of the ventilation valve and the auto-
matic switch-over valve
Handling the Closure System
To avoid damages to the closure system, both halves of the
zip fastener must be placed unstressed in parallel to each
other. Do not use force during opening and closing the zip
fastener.
Do not suddenly pull the zip fastener.
Otherwise the closure system could be damaged.
The closure system has been developed especially for
chemical protective suits. Due to the additional seals these
systems generally require more handling force than zip fasten-
ers used in normal clothes.
Insufficiently lubricated closure systems are difficult to oper-
ate. This could result in damage of the closure system.
Lubricate the closure system! Use the original DYNAT main-
tenance set
To avoid wrinkling the closure system, a second person must
take hold of the closure system with both hands and then pull
the trouser leg over the protective boots so that the closure
system shows no wrinkles.
The person wearing the protective suit should stand upright
while the closure system is opened and closed.
2) Follow the separate Instructions for Use of the product.
