This device is not made with natural rubber latex.
Intended Use:
The endoscope tip protector is intended to be used on the distal tip of an endoscope for the purpose of protecting the endoscope's delicate
lens and the endoscope's bending rubber during transport and storage. It may also be used on the distal tip of medical/surgical
instruments to protect delicate components/mechanisms.

Warnings and Precautions:
1. Do not attempt to reuse, reprocess, refurbish, remanufacture, or resterilize this device. STERIS Endoscopy did not design this device
nor is it intended to be reused, reprocessed, refurbished, remanufactured, or resterilized. Performing such activities on this disposable
medical device presents a safety risk to patients (i.e. compromised device integrity, cross-contamination, infection).
2. This device is to be used to protect endoscopes and medical/surgical instruments and is not to be used on a patient.
3. Should the non-sterile endoscope tip protector be placed on a sterilized endoscope or sterilized medical/surgical instrument, the
endoscope or medical/surgical instrument would be considered not sterile.
4. This device is only to be used for storage if the endoscope or medical/surgical instrument onto which it will be placed has been
completely dried.
5. If the endoscope is not dry and cannot hang straight, the tip protector may create an environment favorable for microbial growth. **

Contraindications:

Contraindicated for use on endoscopes or medical/surgical instruments with an outer diameter outside of the endoscope tip
protector compatibility range.
Directions for Device Usage:
Prior to Use:
1.
Inspect and familiarize yourself with the device.
2.
Do not use this device if there is evidence of damage (e.g. deformed, ripped/torn, damaged packaging). Save the device and
packaging and contact your local STERIS Endoscopy Product Specialist.
3.
Read the "Warnings, Precautions and Contraindications" and review the figures below.
Directions for Use:
1. Hold the endoscope at the junction of the insertion tube and bending section.
2. Slide the ProArmor™ tip protector onto the distal end of the endoscope or medical/surgical instrument after the endoscope or
medical/surgical instrument has been reprocessed per manufacturers instructions, and completely dried.
3. Place the ProArmor™ tip protector onto the distal end of the endoscope, making sure the tip of the endoscope is even with the bottom
of the tip protector. (See Figure 1)
4. Remove the ProArmor™ tip protector prior to use of the endoscope or medical/surgical instrument on a patient.
