3 NOTES ON PRODUCT SAFETY
The following general instructions apply:
People with mental, physical or sensory disabilities and chil-
dren do not recognise the risks that may arise when using the
inhalation device and its components. Never allow anyone
from these groups access to the inhalation device without
supervision. For example, there is a risk that individual parts
may be swallowed and block the respiratory tract, or bitten or
bitten off, or that the inhalation device may be pulled off the
table by the connection tubing or power cord. There is also a
risk of strangulation with the connection tubing or the power
cord. Therefore, make sure that you always keep the com-
pressor, the nebuliser and the accessories out of the reach of
babies and infants.
You must conscientiously follow the general hygiene proce-
dures when using your nebuliser, e.g., thorough washing of
hands or disinfection if required (see chapter "Hygienic re-
use", page 55) before starting the inhalation session.
Use only liquid medications that have been approved for use
in inhalation therapy with a compressed air inhalation device
in your INQUA
about the selection and application of the medications
available.
In general, the following are not suitable for use in inhalation
devices: cough mixtures, gargles, balsamic preparations, oils
of medicinal plants, and drops that are used as ointments or
added to the bath. Inhaling these medications can cause irre-
versible damage to the respiratory tracts.
Such substances can also impair the function of the inhalation
device permanently.
