STARTING THE ENGINE
After getting on the motorcycle as described in the rela-
tive paragraph, operate as follows to start the engine:
1) Place ignition key (1) to
position (the buzz
that you hear when you turn the key to
caused by the fuel pump which puts the feeding
system under pressure);
2) pull the clutch lever (2);
3) shift gear pedal (3) to neutral position then re-
lease the clutch control level;
4) check that the button (4) is in
then press the start button (5).
When a cold engine has just been started, do not
increase revs, to ensure an adequate oil warm-
up and circulation.
Note*: A safety switch is set on the clutch lever
support. This switch allows you to ONLY start the
engine with the gearbox idle, or with the gear en-
gaged and the clutch lever pulled.
With the stand lowered, the bike can only be start-
ed with the gear in neutral.
