REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL
(SIX DAYS)
Position the motorcycle in such a way that the front
wheel is lifted from the ground.
- Loosen the bolts (1) holding the wheel axle (2) to
the front fork mounts.
- Unscrew the pin (2) and remove it.
- Remove the wheel being careful with the ABS sen-
sor support (3).
Note*: Do not operate the front brake lever when
the wheel has been removed; this causes the calliper
pistons to move outwards. After removal, lay down
the wheel with brake disc on top.

REASSEMBLING THE FRONT WHEEL
(SIX DAYS)
- Position the wheel between the legs, fit the ABS
sensor support (1) so that it correctly fits into
place with the fork pin (2), then fit the brake disc
in the calliper checking that it correctly fits into
place.
- Fit the previously greased wheel pin (3) from the
right-hand side and screw it into place (50 Nm -
5.09 Kgm - 36.87 ft/lb).
- Now, pump for a while, pushing the handlebar
downwards until you are sure that the fork legs
are perfectly aligned.
- Lock: the screws (4) on the R.H. leg (10,4 Nm - 1,06
Kgm - 7.67 ft/lb).
Note*: After refitting the wheel, operate the brake
control lever until the pads touch the disc.
