Sit down properly on the driving seat.
Make sure that the main and side brushes are raised off the fl oor before starting the engine (see levers 8 and 9, fi g. 3)
Starting the engine (diesel and petrol version)
•
Move the accelerator lever 7 (fi g. 3) to 3/4 of its stroke.
•
Insert the ignition key 14 (fi g.3).
•
Turn it clockwise up to the fi rst notch (position 1).
•
The glow plug indicator 19 turned on (fi g. 3).(diesel version only)
•
Wait until the glow plug indicator has turned off. (diesel version only)
•
Turn the key to the second stop notch (position II) and release the key as soon as the engine starts.
Starting the main electric motor (electric version)
•
Turn it the starting key 14 (fi g.3) clockwise up to the fi rst notch
•
Turn the key clockwise (see description point 14 fi g.3).
Drive the machine
•
Release the parking brake by lowering lever 31 (fi g.3)
•
To go forwards, press on the front of pedal 1 (fi g. 3).
•
To reverse, press on the back of the pedal.
The motor sweeper brakes automatically when pedal 1 is in the neutral position.
The fi ve levers on the directional control valve must be in the central position (fi g. 3).
Cleaning
Take the machine to the zone to be cleaned then:
•
Start brush rotation by means of the lever 4 (fi g.3)
•
Lower the side brushes and the main brush by means of the levers 8-9 (fi g.3)
•
Start the suction fans (if the ground is dry) by means of the switch 15 (fi g.3)
•
Drive forward, passing over the zone for cleaning.
DANGER OF LOSS OF STABILITY
WHEN USING THE SWEEPER AT THE MAXIMUM TRAVEL SPEED TAKE CARE NOT TO TURN SHARPLY AT THE MAXIMUM
STEERING LOCK. IF THE SURFACE ON WHICH YOU ARE WORKING IS SLOPING, TRAVEL AT LOW SPEED AND DO NOT TURN
SUDDENLY AND/OR TOO TIGHTLY. IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR MAY CAUSE THE SWEEPER TO TIP OVER, WITH ALL THE
SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES WHICH MAY RESULT.
Stopping the sweeper
To stop the sweeper when work is fi nished proceed as follows:
•
Raise the brushes above the ground by operating the levers 8-9 (fi g.3)
•
Stop brush rotation by operating the lever 4 (fi g.3)
•
Stop suction by means of the switch 15 (fi g.3)
•
Switch off any other accessories.
•
Drive to the parking area.
•
Engage the parking brake by lifting the lever 31 (fi g.3)
•
Turn the ignition switch key 14 to the start position 0 (fi g. 3) and remove it.
CAUTION!
PARK THE SWEEPER ON A FLAT SURFACE BECAUSE THE PARKING-BRAKE MAY LOSE
EFFECTIVENESS DUE TO POOR MAINTENANCE OR INCORRECT OPERATION.
Switching off the engine (diesel and petrol version)
CAUTION! BEFORE STOPPING THE ENGINE MAKE SURE THAT THE SIDE AND MAIN BRUSHES ARE
RAISED ABOVE THE GROUND (SEE LEVERS 8-9 FIG.3)
•
Reduce the engine speed with the accelerator lever 7 (fi g. 3).
•
Turn the ignition switch key 14 to the start position 0 (fi g. 3) and remove it.
