Registrazione pedale comando freno posteriore
La posizione del pedale di comando del freno posteriore
rispetto all'appoggiapiede, può essere regolata a seconda
delle esigenze personali. Dovendo procedere a tale
registrazione operare nel modo seguente:
- allentare la vite (2);
- regolare l'eccentrico (1);
- serrare la vite (2);
- verificare che il gioco (a) del pedale, prima di iniziare l'azione
frenante, risulti circa 5 mm;
- se così non fosse allentare il controdado (3) e agire sull'asta
di comando (4) fino ad ottenere il giusto valore;
- serrare il controdado (3).
Non scendere mai al di sotto di 2 mm di gioco sulla pompa
freno. Il livello del fluido (C) deve trovarsi tra le tacche MIN e MAX
del serbatoio pompa.
Se il pedale del freno risulta troppo "morbido", si è in
presenza di aria nella tubazione o di un difetto dell'impianto:
CONTROLLARE L'IMPIANTO FRENANTE (pag. L.10).
Se la corsa a vuoto del pedale del freno risulta
eccessiva, l'azione frenante può diminire: CONTROLLARE LO
SPESSORE DELLE PASTIGLIE (pag. L.6).

Adjustment of rear control pedal
The position of the rear brake pedal as regards the footrest can
be adjusted according to the personal requirements.
To carry out the adjustment, work as follows:
- loosen screw (2);
- adjust cam (1);
- tighten screw (2);
- check that play (a) of the pedal is approx. 5 mm (0.2 in.) before
starting the braking action;
- otherwise, loosen lock nut (3) and work on control rod (4)
until the right play is reached;
- tighten lock nut (3).
Never lower the play under 0.08 in. on the brake pump. The fluid
level (C) must be between MIN and MAX of pump tank.
If the brake pedal feels mushy when it is applied, there
may be air in the brake lines or the brake may be defective:
CHECK THE BRAKING SYSTEM (pag. L.11).
If the pedal free play is excessive, the brake action can
decrease: CHECK THE PADS THICKNESS (page L.6).
