D. THE HELMET
Aeroacoustically non-critical area
Tip:
To ensure the helmet is as quiet as possible, how it fi ts at its
underside is extremely important. Make sure it is well sealed
off by using the adjustment options offered by the acoustic
collar. If you have a narrow neck, it is advisable to use a scarf
in addition.

ANTI-NOISE PAD (included)
The anti-noise pad helps further reduce noise in the helmet.
1. The anti-noise pad is fi xed in place
on the inside of the wind defl ector by
means of the Velcro strips.

8. CHIN SECTION

The C3 is equipped with a chin section that pivots up and can be
easily opened and closed by means of the operating element located
in the middle of the chin section. The movement of the section
required for this is optimised for convenient, smooth operation.
Lock system
The chin section is equipped with a specially developed lock system
on the left and the right side. The construction design of the lock
system is similar to the door lock systems used in car design. Despite
there being locks on both sides, the chin section opens with only one
button. The lock in the opposite side is simultaneously operated by
bowden cable. The mechanically optimised system reduces the force
need to operate the two locks to a comfortable 16 N, although the
safety-relevant overall locking force is many times this amount.
