7 Installation
7.1 Location
Place the autoclave on a flat horizontal and stable surface suitable to the weight
of the machine.
For an ergonomic use, leave a free space of about 50cm around the machine.
To facilitate maintenance operations, it is advisable to have direct access to all
sides of the autoclave.
Immobilize the autoclave, by adjusting it to the ground, using the blocks located
on the front part of the equipment, intended for that purpose.
Place the autoclave near a power, water and drain outlet.
According to the legislation, the autoclave should be located in a way
that the discharge outlet of the safety valve DO NOT point to persons
or could reach them in case of steam output.
In the autoclave, the safety valve outlet points to the rear part.
7.2 Connection to the water supply
- You need a water tap with a 3/4' thread (same as washing machines and other
appliances).
- You need a water pressure between 3 and 4 bar. If the water pressure exceeds
4 bars, it is advisable to put a pressure reducer.
- Connect a hose between the tap and the water inlet.
7.3 Connection to the drain
The autoclave will expel the excess steam, hot air and hot water during
pasteurization/sterilization.
Two hoses must be connected to a drain, outfall, outdoor ...:
«CONDENSED OUTPUT»: This hose must be firmly attached to the drain,
to prevent steam power to remove the hose from the drain.
«WATER OUTPUT»: This hose must be firmly attached to the drain, to
prevent steam power to remove the hose from the drain.
Both hoses must be connected to a lower level of the autoclave exit point.
7.4 Connection to the mains
Plug it to a socket prepared to supply continuous 16 A.
It is recommended to install a ICP pole circuit breaker of about 20A, located in
a quick accessible point and without obstacles.
Check the type and level of power supply and the maximum intensity
in the equipment features plate.
7.4.1 Ground protection
Installation of electric power supply to the autoclave MUST have ground
protection.
Protection against the autoclave electrical risks requires the mains cable, marked
with yellow -green colour, connected to the installation ground wire.
