Washing the boiler
To facilitate the cleaning of the boiler,
when pressing the On/Off main
switch will open the boiler's drain.
Spray with a hose and a little deter-
gent, dishwasher type, the walls of
the autoclave. The water will flow
down the drain.

Risk of severe burns
Upon completion of the
cycle, the chamber loading
can be over 60ºC tempera-
ture.
Use gloves with thermal
protection to remove the
chamber loading.

8 Operation
THE AUTOCLAVE IS PROVIDED WITH THE CHAMBER DOOR CLOSED.
OPENING THE DOOR MAY ONLY BE POSSIBLE BY TURNING ON
8.1 Start up
1. Start by using the main switch.
2. Ensure the water tap is open.
3. Ensure the drain is firmly attached.
It is recommended to use water with low lime content or deionized / demineral-
ized water. DO NOT USE distilled water.
8.2 Load
Place the canned pots in the basket.
Pots must be hermetically closed.
It is better that all the pots will be of the same size and content to give all the
samples the same treatment and not to overheat the smallest and give an inef-
ficient treatment to the larger ones.
Place the liquids probe in a similar pot to those to be sterilized.
See 5.4 on how to place pots and the reference probe.
8.3 Select and start the program
Select a program by using the controller commands.
Start a program by pressing «START/STOP».
8.4 Stop
The autoclave performs all functions automatically. Once the cycle is finished,
the message «PROGRAM FINISHED» appears.
If by any reason the program must be stopped, press «START/STOP» key.
ATTENCION: To avoid breaking the pots, and depending on the stage
the aborted program is, the autoclave will perform automatically a
series of manoeuvres, before interrupting the cycle.
8.5 Opening and closing of loading and unloading door
There are safety devices that block the door opening if there are no safety
conditions for doing so.

Door opening/closing must be done by previously trained personnel.

Before opening the door, the operator shall ensure that the autoclave cycle
is over and there is no pressure in the chamber.
8.6 Cautions during use
The indications in the LCD display will be regularly monitored. Pressure must
never exceed the maximum allowable pressure. (PS = 2,5 bar)
