1- Turn off the PTO and the tractor engine and remove the key from the contact.
2- Remove the screw and lift the knotmaker (fig.136 and 137).
CAUTION! When lifting the knotmaker, the knife holder arm will move may cause
injury in your hands. To avoid accidents, always hold the knotmaker by the tab
(as shown in fig.137).
3- When lifting the knotmaker, note that the arm knife holder moves away from
the foot up to a certain point, when it begins to approach again. When the arm
achieve maximum remoteness, the position must be equal to indicated on fig.139.
If necessary, the arm can be adjusted with light hammer strikes to approach him
to the knotmaker foot or a lever to push him away. For a simple adjustment, no
need to disassemble it in the knotmaker.
NOTE: The knife holder arm is made of mild steel, which may be slightly curved
when their adjustment is necessary, as described above.
If the knife holder arm is twited, you should disassemble it, make the adjustment
and ride it again.
