    Tyto Cell Sorter. Disposable cartridges minimize sample-to-sample carryover and eliminate the need for sample loading and collection ports. Cells sorted with the MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter are ready for use in sensitive downstream applications such as cell culture and cell expansion.

The instrument offers fully automated flow control, laser alignment, and valve timing. The MACSQuant Tyto Sorter is a research-use only laboratory equipment.     MACSQuant® Tyto® Cell Sorter. 3 Lift the MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter out of its box. CAUTION! Two people are required to lift the instrument. Take care to avoid personal strain or injury, especially avoid crushing fingers when you put the instrument down.

    4 Switch on the MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter by using the power switch on the rear side of the instrument. The instrument will be in stand-by mode. A red LED on the orange touchscreen indicates that the instrument is in stand-by mode.

    Scan a cartridge Use only cartidges from Miltenyi Biotec. Cartridges are for single-use only. For proper disposal of cartridges, follow local regulations and carefully read the chapter Important safety information . Do not touch the chip on the cartridge. The cartridges are equipped with a 2D code. Scan the cartridge prior to use. Refer to the respective datasheet for further information.

By default, the flow Cartridge rate is 4 mL/h for regular speed cartridges and 8 mL/h for high-speed cartridges.
