P
RELIMINARY OPERATIONS AND FIRST START
▪
Visual check of the connection
Make sure that all the connections have been made by following carefully the instructions given in the "Connections"
paragraph.
Check that all the isolators are open.
▪
Closure of the battery fuse holders
Close the 4 battery fuse holders (SWBATT) as shown in the figure below.
Note: The equipment is protected against battery inversion (for further details see "Battery anti-inversion device").
CAUTION: In the event that the batteries are connected to the battery terminals with the polarity inverted,
this device will protect the CPS by interrupting the battery connections.
As the fuses are being closed, a small electric arc caused by the capacitors inside the CPS may be
generated. This is quite normal and not the result of malfunctions and/or breakage.
▪
CPS powering
Close the protections upstream the CPS.
▪
Closure of the input and output isolators
Close all input disconnectors (SWIN), output disconnectors, (SWOUT) and separate bypass disconnectors (SWBYP)
except for the maintenance disconnector (SWMB), which should remain open.
