3.2 To fit an electric sun blind

A
Left-hand drive cars only
Fit the plug (3) X 6500B on the additional wiring harness (1) near the rear left headrest mounting (2). Install the
additional wiring harness (1) along the main wiring harness to the earth joint connector X 494 on the right-hand
side of the car. Fit the violet/blue cable from the additional wiring harness along the right-hand sill strips to the
fuse box.
Right-hand drive cars only
Fit the plug (3) X 6500B on the additional wiring harness (1) near the rear left headrest mounting (2). Install the
additional wiring harness (1) along the main wiring harness to the earth joint connector X 151 on the left-hand
side of the car. Fit the violet/blue cable from the additional wiring harness along the right-hand sill strips to the
fuse box.

Undo the hexagonal nut (4) on the earth joint connector (5) and connect terminal lug A6 (6), brown cable.
Tighten the hexagonal nut (4).

Insert and lock the fuse contact (7), violet/blue cable, in fuse F 12 X 10016. Insert the 7 .5 A fuse (8).

Strip the insulation off the connector cables (10) for the sun blind and crimp on the pin contacts (9).
Insert the pin contacts into the pin casing as follows:
Pin contact, red cable, in pin 2 of the pin casing
Pin contact, blue cable, in pin 1 of the pin casing
Refit the rear window shelf into the car, connect the plug (11) for the sun blind to the plug X 6500 B on
the additional wiring harness and secure the rear window shelf using new clips.
When installing the cable, ensure that the speakers are not damaged and the function of the seat
belt retractor reels is not affected.

Insert and align the C pillar trim (12) in the car. Push the top holder (11) for the sun blind on to the C pillar trim (12)
as shown in the drawing and push the rear mounting (14) behind the headlining (15). Push the C pillar trim (10)
firmly into place.

Pull out the rolled up control cable (16) for the left-hand winding mechanical (17) and thread it into the recesses
in the left-hand holder (18) as shown in the drawing.
The control cables for the rear blind are under high tension.

Pull out the rolled up control cable (19) for the right-hand winding mechanical (20) and thread it into the recess
in the right-hand holder (21) as shown in the drawing.
