4.1 Operation of the Brooks GUI for VDM100

The GUI can be a very useful tool for operating and, if needed,
trouble-shooting the VDM100. Through the GUl, internal status and
diagnostic information can be accessed from the VDM100. The GUI can
also operate the VDM100 digitally. The GUI is available for purchase from
Brooks. lt does not come with the purchase of a VDM100.
Figure 4-1 and Figure 4-2 are captures of screens from the GUl. Below
each screen capture a small description of these screens is available. lt is
recommended that you read and understand the Graphical User
lnterface (GUI) manual for complete information on the installation and
use of the GUl.
The GUI is capable of accessing more than one Brooks device at a time as
shown in Figure 4-1. This screen shows some basic information about the
accessed device(s) such as current set point, the current draw of the flow
valve, and how much flow the device is allowing at that moment. lt also
shows the device serial number, the gas it is set up to flow, and the flow
range for that gas. Note that for the VDM100, water vapor is the only gas
that it can flow.
