The temperature range for continuous use of the
product (in dry conditions) is approx. –35 °C to +55
°C. Icing may reduce the loading strength.
STORAGE, TRANSPORT AND MAINTENANCE
Storage
Store cool, dry, and protected from daylight outside
transport containers. No contact with chemicals
(Attention: battery acid!). Store without mechanical
squeezing, pressure or tension.
Transport
The product must be protected from direct sunlight,
chemicals, contamination and mechanical damage.
To ensure this, use a protective bag or special stor-
age and transport containers.
Fig. 9a and 10 Cleaning
Clean contaminated products in hand warm water (if
needed, add pH-balanced soap). Rinse generously.
Dry at room temperature, never in dryers or near
heaters/radiators!
Common, non-halogen containing disinfectants may
be used if needed. If needed, oil the joints of metal
parts after cleaning.
Service life and replacement
The service life of the product mainly depends on the
type and frequency of use as well as on external in-
fluences. Products made from synthetic fibres (Poly-
amid, Polyester, Dyneema

pends on the intensity of ultraviolet radiation and
other environmental influences.

The maximum service life under optimum storage
conditions (see Storage) and without use is 12 years.
The maximum service life (commercial or non-com-
mercial use) providing proper use without visible
signs of wear and optimum storage conditions is 10
years.
Frequent or extreme use, fall load
If signs of wear show, personal protective equipment
must be replaced, e. g. when the webbing edges are
damaged, fibres have been pulled from the webbing,
seams are damaged or worn or if the product has
come in contact with chemicals. Watch out for sharp
burrs or signs of corrosion on metal parts of the
equipment. Repairs may only be performed as out-
lined in the instructions of the manufacturer. Upon
extreme use (external signs of wear showing), such
as upon fall loading or when the equipment is dam-
aged, the personal protective equipment must be
removed from use immediately and turned over to a
qualified person for inspection; require a written
confirmation concerning the inspection and/or
repair.
Repairs may only be performed as outlined in the
instructions of the manufacturer.
Inspection
If used commercially, the product must be inspected
at least yearly by the manufacturer, a qualified
person or an approved testing body; maintenance
must be performed, or the product be removed from
use, as needed. Among other inspections the read-
ability of the product labelling should be checked.
