ATTENTION! Gaff screws are provided with thread locking ad-
hesive. Proper fastening of the screw will be ensured only when
the screw is used the first time. If screws have to be replaced,
use only original screws provided by EDELRID with then the
thread locking adhesive. When replacing the screws, take care
to use the long (20mm) M8 screw for the lower gaff thread, and
the short (16mm) M8 screw for the upper one.
Gaffs screws have to be fastened with a torque force of 16 Nm
(354 lb-in).
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Continuous storage as to be carried in dry conditions ata a
temperature of approx. 15°C to 30 °C (59 °F to 86 °F). No
contact with chemicals (Caution: battery acid!).
Store without mechanical squeezing, pressure or tension.
During transportation, the product must be protected from
direct sunlight, chemical contamination and mechanical
damage. A protective bag or special transport and storage
container should be used. These should also be suitable to
prevent damage and injury from the climbers gaffs.
When not in use, always protect the gaffs with gaff protectors.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE
Wet and dirty climbers should be taken from the transport
container after usage. Clean products in hand-warm water (if
required add neutral soap). Rinse generously. Dry at room tem-
perature, but never near radiators, micro wave or clothes dryer.
Repairs may only be performed as outlined in the instructions
of the manufacturer. Flash rust showing on climbers is normal
and can be removed by polishing with acid-free oil, silicone
spray or similar. Common, Halogen-free disinfectants may be
used if needed.
ATTENTION! If the present instructions for use are not observed
this can lead to fatal injury!
