behind the dash panel and lift
the upper bulkhead from the
tractor.
Remove the cover from the
electrical box
Always use the same capacity
fuse for replacement. If
necessary, contact your service
dealer.
Engine
Warning
After the engine has been turned
off, the engine and the side panels
of the unit still remain hot.
Working on hot parts can cause
severe burns. Wait until all parts
of the unit have cooled down.
To ensure adequate cooling of the
engine, make sure that the
following parts are kept free of
dirt and debris: side panels, area
around the air filter, grille and
radiator.
Water-cooled engine (optional)
Warning
It the coolant temperature
becomes too high, a warning light
illuminates If the light illuminates
while the engine is running, the
engine must be stopped
immediately. If necessary, see
your service dealer.Use only
coolant containing corrosion and
rust inhibitors made specifically
for aluminum engines and
radiators. Only dilute coolant
with distilled water in accordance
with the manufacturers
instructions to prevent freezing In
the lowest anticipated ambient
temperature. Do not use tap water
to dilute coolant.
Cold Weather Operation
If the lowest ambient temperature
falls below 32°F, use a permanent
type of antifreeze to protect the
cooling system from freezing.
Dilute antifreeze with distilled
water in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions.
Radiator Hoses
Check radiator hoses for
hardening, cracking or swelling
after every 200 hours of operation
and tighten hose clamps securely.
Replace radiator hoses if
necessary
Checking Engine Coolant
Figure 16
Warning
It is dangerous to remove the
radiator cap when the system is
hot. Allow the system to cool and
loosen the cap slightly to relieve
any excess pressure before
removing cap completely.
Make it a rule to check the
coolant level before every
operation. Be sure to securely
tighten radiator pressure cap after
checking coolant.
Remove the radiator cap:
Turn the radiator cap
counterclockwise to the first
stop and wait a few seconds.
Push down on the cap and
turn counterclockwise until
the cap stops.
Lift cap off.
Check coolant level in
radiator. The coolant level
must be maintained at the
bottom of the filler neck.
Periodically check the
recovery tank for cracking
and damage. Proper operation
of the cooling system requires
that the coolant level be
maintained between the
HIGH "H" and LOW "L"
marks on the recovery tank-
See Figure 16
Adding Engine Coolant
Figure 17
If the coolant level is too low, add
coolant to bring the level up to
the bottom of the filler neck.
NOTE: When coolant is added,
coolant level may drop the first
time the engine is started. After
operating tractor briefly, allow
system to cool end recheck
coolant level.

Storing the unit for
long periods
Warning
Risk of damage to unit
Allow the engine to cool down
first and only store the unit in
an area which is cool and dry.
Protect the unit when it is to be
stored for longer periods. e.g.
winter, but in all cases against
rust. At the end of the season, or
if the unit is not to be used for
longer than a month:
Clean the unit
Wipe over all metal surfaces
with an oil-impregnated cloth
to protect them from
corrosion, or spray a fine coat
of oil onto them
lubricate all grease fittings
remove the battery and
recharge it with a battery
charger
drain the fuel ((only
outdoors) and refer to the
engine manual for correct
engine storage instructions
check the tyre pressure
store the unit in a room which
is clean and dry
