Hints and tricks

Introduction to the function test
1. Manual > Manual mode> Code 1234.
2. Check whether there is sufficient water in
the right-hand tank (filled up to min. 1/3).
3. If necessary, fill tank via drinking water
backfeed:
a. Activate valve_DW_to with OK.
b. Fill tank up to min. 1/3.
c. Deactivate Valve_DW_to with OK.
Checking the filter backflushing system:
1. Take off lid of the left hand tank.
2. Activate pump_pressure with OK.
3. Activate valve_filter with OK.
a. The water must now vigourously flow
through the hose bow. Only a minimal
amount of water may leak from the fil-
ter screen. Otherwise proceed as un-
der "Checking of clogged filters".
4. Deactivate pump_pressure and valve_filter
with OK.
a. In the process check whether the sole-
noid valve closes correctly.
b. To do so, check backflush nozzle abo-
ve the flat filter screen (take aside the
yellow lid and the cylinder screen lo-
cated underneath).
c. If the solenoid valve does not close
properly, proceed as described under
"Cleaning the solenoid valve" in the
chapter "Maintenance".
Checking the filter with regard to clogging:
1. Remove inspection lid and flat filter screen
(with the aid of a slotted screwdriver).
2. Check whether the filter is clogged by lar-
ger accumulations of hair or other particles.
3. Remove hose at the bottom of the filter and
check with a small, long screwdriver inside
connection branch whether the aperture is
clogged (e.g. with tile particles or larger
tufts of hair).
a. Remove obstructions with screwdriver.
4. Activate pump_pressure and valve_filter
with OK.
a. Check whether water runs from the
connection branch without the filter
overflowing.
5. Refit hose, filter screens and inspection lid.

Checking of drinking water backfeed:
1. Activate valve_DW_to with OK.
2. Check whether water runs neatly into the
filler hole.
3. Deactivate valve_DW_to and check
whether it closes properly.
4. If it does not, close the shut-off valve up-
stream of the drinking water backfeed and
proceed as described under "Cleaning so-
lenoid valve".
Checking of submersible pump stage 1 and
2
1. Remove all tank lids.
2. Activate pump_stage 1 with OK.
3. Check whether water is pumped into stage
two.
4. Deactivate pump_stage 1 with OK.
5. Activate pump_stage 2 with OK.
Only switch on this pump briefly!
Otherwise, too large an amount of
germ-contaminated water gets
into the third stage!
6. Check whether water is pumped into stage
three.
7. Deactivate pump_stage 2 with OK.
8. If a submersible pump does not deliver any
water, check whether pump is completely
submerged in water. If necessary, top up
with water so that pump hangs sufficiently
deep in water. If even then no water is de-
livered, pull pump upwards out of the tank
and remove the intake port above the clo-
sed lid of the neighbouring tank (to prevent
parts from getting lost) (bayonet catch).
Check whether any strands of hair have
wound around the pump shaft or if the O-
ring blocks the pump. Remove any conta-
mination!
9. Reassemble the pump.
The O-ring must be neatly seated
as it may otherwise get into the
impeller and block the pump.
Note!: If the O-ring is torn or can-
not be neatly fitted, it may not be
installed. As the submersible
pump normally hangs completely
inside the water, the O-ring is not
essential.
