QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
If the preheating period is very long:
• The energy input is too low
• Set the heat source to the highest level
If the red safety valve has not risen
and no steam escapes from the valve during cooking:
This is normal in the first few minutes (pressure
build-up)
Otherwise, please check:
• If the heat source is strong enough. If it is not,
increase it
• If there is enough liquid in the pot
• If the pressure regulating valve is not set to I
or II
• If the pot is completely closed
• If the sealing ring or the edge of the pot are
damaged
If the safety valve has risen and no steam escapes from
the pressure regulating valve during cooking:
• Hold your pressure cooker under running cold water to
make the steam inside evaporate
• Open the pot
• Clean the pressure regulating valve and the safety valve
When steam escapes around the lid area check:
If the lid is completely closed
• If the sealing ring is inserted correctly
• The condition of the sealing ring (replace if necessary)
• If the lid, the safety valve and the pressure regulating
valve are clean
• If the rim of the pot is in good operating order

If the lid can't be opened, check:
• If the safety valve has retracted completely.
If not, evaporate
• If necessary, hold pressure cooker under cold
running water
When the food is not fully cooked or burnt
check:
• The cooking time (too short or too long)
• The power of the heat source
• If the pressure regulating valve is set correctly
• The quantity of liquid
If the handles on the pot are loose:
• Tighten screws using a screwdriver
If the food in the pot is burnt:
• Allow your pot to soak for some time before
you clean it
• Do not use alkaline and chlorine-containing
cleaning agents
If one of the safety systems is triggered:
• Switch off heat source
• Let the pressure cooker cool down
• Open
• Check the pressure regulating valve, the safety valve,
the pressure relief valve and the sealing ring and
clean them
