COOKING TIMES
The different cooking times depend on the quality and size of the food cooked. Therefore, the following cooking times are to be
understood as approximate values.
After some time, you will have enough experience and know exactly how long your dishes need to be cooked. Frozen food does
not have to be defrosted before cooking. It is sufficient to extend the cooking times a little.
Soups and stews with roasted meat
If the cooking times of the ingredients do not differ too much (e.g. meat and vegetables), the meat is fried and the vegetables
are added when deglazing.
If the cooking time varies greatly, interrupt the cooking process of the meat and add the vegetables in the last few minutes of
cooking. This way, the meat and vegetables will be done at the same time. When preparing soups and stews, please note that
foaming food should be boiled in an open pot and skimmed off before closing the pot.
Vegetables
The finer the vegetables are chopped, the shorter the cooking time. If you prefer them „crunchy", the cooking time is even
shorter. The larger the quantity, the longer the cooking time.
Tip: It is better to cook your food for shorter periods rather than longer periods since you can always continue cooking
afterwards.
