If these operations are done carefully, it will be to the total advantage of the user because when work is recommenced, he will fi nd the
equipment in perfect conditions.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
- Grease the row marker arm pin (Fig. 86).
- Clean the blower clutch with a jet of air (Fig. 87).
- Grease the bevel gear pair of the Cardan shaft (Fig. 88).
- Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up to level (1, Fig. 83) whenever necessary using
the same type of oil (SAE 10W) whenever possible.
ATTENTION!!! While the gearbox is being adjusted or serviced, the screw must not
be touched for any reason (C, Fig. 83): this would alter the setting of the gearbox with
an adverse effect on distribution.
- To replace all the tubes of the hydraulic systems.
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is for seen it is advisable:
1) Carefully empty all the seed from the hopper and distribution assÕy (see cap 3.5.11).
2) Clean the equipment, the tank and the metering unit especially, with a large amount of water.
Then, dry it using jets of air. Pulire Clean the electrical components only with a dry cloth.
3) Carefully check worn or damaged parts and replace if necessary.
4) Check the state of wear of the transmission chains and toothed wheels. Replace damaged
or worn out parts, if required. Use solvent to clean the transmission chains, the toothed
wheels and the chain stretchers. Lubricate with mineral oil (SAE 80W/90) when dry.
5) Make sure that the metering unit can rotate without excessive efforts. Check the bearings,
if necessary.
6) Tighten all screws and bolts.
7) Apply protecting oil to all unpainted parts (Fig. 89).
8) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
9) Then put it in a dry place, do not move it and where it is out of reach of un authorized peo-
ple.
