Refrigerant pipe connection
When connecting refrigerant piping, do not allow substances or gases other than the specified refrige-
rant to enter the unit. The presence of other gases or substances will reduce the capacity of the unit and
may cause abnormally high pressure in the refrigerant cycle. This may cause explosions and injury.
Note: The length of refrigerant piping will affect the performance and energy efficiency of the unit. Rated
efficiency is tested on units with a pipe length of 5 metres.
A minimum pipe length of 3 metres is required to minimise vibration and excessive noise. In special tro-
pical areas, for R290 refrigerant models, refrigerant cannot be added and the maximum refrigerant pipe
length must not exceed 10 metres. Refer to the following table for specifications on maximum pipe length
and drop height.

Step 1: Cutting pipe
When preparing the refrigerant pipes, take special care to cut and modify them properly. properly. This

1. Measure the distance between the indoor and outdoor units.
2. Using a pipe cutter, cut the pipe slightly longer than the measured distance.
3. Make sure the pipe is cut at a perfect 90° angle.
Do not deform the pipe when cutting
Be very careful not to damage, dent or deform the pipe during cutting. This would drastically reduce the
