Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING! Before servicing or cleaning, the air conditioner must be disconnected from the mains.
Note: The exterior surfaces are susceptible to scratches and abrasions, so please follow the cleaning
instructions to achieve the best possible result without damage.
General cleaning
Clean the surface of the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use chemical reagents such as alcohol,
benzene and petrol, as they may damage the surface of the portable air conditioner.
Cleaning the filters
The filter should be cleaned once every two weeks. If the indoor air quality is poor, it must be washed
more frequently or the performance of the appliance will be reduced because the filters may be clog-
ged. Follow the instructions below for cleaning:
Lift the front panel of the indoor unit.
First press the tab on the end of the filter to loosen the clamp, lift it up and
then pull it out.
Now pull out the filter.
If your filter has a small air freshener filter, unclip it from the larger filter.
Clean this air freshener filter with a hand hoover.
Clean the large filter with warm soapy water. Be sure to use a mild deter-
gent.
Rinse the filter with fresh water, then squeeze out excess water.
Dry it in a cool, dry place and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
When it is dry, put the mbient filter back into the larger filter, then insert it
back into the indoor unit.
Close the front panel of the indoor unit.
Note: Do not wash the filter at more than 40°C or with abrasive and flam-
mable products such as alcohol, gasoline and benzene. The filters should
be kept away from heat sources as they may become deformed.
Never switch on the appliance without the filters correctly installed.
Do not touch the air freshener filter (Plasma) for at least 10 minutes after
switching off the unit.
- Before changing the filter or cleaning, switch off the unit and disconnect it from the mains.
- When removing the filter, do not touch the metal parts of the unit. The sharp edges of the metal may
hurt you.
- Do not use water to clean the inside of the indoor unit. This may damage the insulation and cause
electric shock.
- Do not expose the filter to direct sunlight when drying. This may shrink the filter.
