Examples of correct sensor positions.
When an inductor is used in a wrong way its sheath (isolation)
can get damaged/burned.
For each use inductors have to be inspected for damage!
Inductors with damaged sheath / isolation should be replaced.
NOTE!
Do not use damaged inductors!
Middle frequency generators V3.0 have in addition an aid which
is helpful to the operator to achieve the most optimal number
of turns.
If the "Advice" function is activated, the generator will indicate
whether the number of windings is too high, too low or just right.
Follow this recommendation as closely as possible in order to
achieve the best possible heating.
The Advice function is a tool that can be used with flexible
inductors. Follow the instructions given in section 7.5 of this main
manual to activate the function. When this function is active, the
generator gives a recommendation on the number of windings
wrapped around a workpiece in the top centre of the screen
during heating.
These messages can be:
# turns (steady message in white)
 Number of windings is OK
# turns ▲ (flashing message in orange)
 Add winding(s)
# turns ▼ (flashing message in orange)
 Remove winding(s)
The Advice function is not applicable to fixed inductors. If the
function is active in such cases and an advice is displayed, it can
be ignored. Deactivate the Advice function when working with
fixed inductors.

12. Maintenance and cleaning
■ Clean the generator only using a dry cloth. Do not use water or
solvents.
■ Inspect heater cables and inductor cables for damage before
every use.
■ Inspect the temperature sensor for damage at regular
intervals. Ensure that the magnet head is free from dirt in order
to guarantee a proper reading.
■ The heater has a fan with filter on the rear side. Inspect the
filter mat for soiling at regular intervals and clean or replace,
as necessary, in order to ensure a good flow of cooling air.
■ The inspection and cleaning frequency depends on the level of
contamination in the environment in which the heater is used.
The filter mats can be accessed as follows:
■ Unlock the grille by pulling
the blue handle forwards.
■ Tilt the grille forwards.
■ Inspect the filter for soiling
and replace, if necessary.
■ Tilt the grille back into
position and lock.
