9. After a short time, a starting mask appears with progress bar.
10. The starting status can now be monitored at the progress
bar. As soon as the progress bar reaches 100%, the starting
screen is displayed. The screen displays one of the four
possible heating modes that the generator offers. Which of
the four this is depends on the factory settings and/or which
of the four modes was last used or set by the user
Example screen:
The generator is now ready for further use.
5.2 Temperature sensors
Connect the temperature sensor(s) by inserting the plug into the
socket on the front of the generator.
Make sure that the – and + of the plug correspond to that of the
socket. Plug the sensor with the red cable into T1 and the sensor
with the green cable into T2. The colours of the sensors then
correspond with the colours of the measured temperatures on the
display. This also applies to the figures shown.
Schaeffler Technologies
T1 (red sensor) is always the master for the process.
Always position T1 (red sensor) on the workpiece so that it is
as close as possible to the inductor. This is where the heat is
generated in the workpiece and is thus an essential temperature
for monitoring.
The sensors are magnetic and can therefore be easily attached to
ferrometal workpieces.
NOTE!
The sensors with red and green cable are identical in their
function and are interchangeable in principle. The difference
in colour serves essentially to distinguish between measuring
points T1 and T2.
5.3 Inductors
Connect an inductor to the generator, following the instructions
given in section 11.
Inspect the inductor cable for damage before every use. Do not
use the inductor if it is damaged.
Ensure that the inductor cables are well away from (ferro)
metallic objects in the vicinity. These objects could be heated
unintentionally.
5.4 Signal tower (optional)
The optional signal tower can be easily connected to the
connection provided on the upper side of the generator.
It signals as follows:
Green flashing:
Heating process running (this includes pauses and interruptions
in a cycle, the lamp then continues to flash)
Steady green light:
Cycle completed
Steady red light:
Fault
