On safety
The external voltage supply of the device must be capable of buff-
ering brief mains voltage failures of 20 ms as specified in
EN 60 204. Suitable power supplies are available as accessories
from SICK (Siemens type series 6 EP 1).

Protection of the environment

The L 4000 system has been designed to minimise environmental
impact. It uses only a minimum of power and natural resources.
At work, always act in an environmentally responsible manner. For this
reason please note the following information on disposal.
Disposal
Always dispose of unusable or irreparable devices according to the
particular waste disposal regulations applicable in the country of
use.
We would be pleased to be of assistance on the disposal of this de-
vice. Contact your local SICK representative.
