- Place the generating set on a flat horizontal surface strong enough to prevent the genset from sinking.

- The generating set must never be in a position more than 10° or 13° from the horizontal, in any axis.
- Keep a stock of oil and fuel, a safe distance from the generating set.
- Choose a clean and well-ventilated site protected from bad weather.
- Allow for good ventilation in the event of indoors use (even if this is exceptional).
- Place the generating set in a safe place out of the way of people or animals.

Never exceed the rated working load (amps and/or watts) of the generating set when it is operating continuously.
Before connecting and operating the generating set, work out the electrical power requirement of each of the electrical appliances (watts or amps). Generally, this
rating is shown on the manufacturer's nameplate (lamps, electrical appliances, motors, etc.) The total power required by the load must not exceed the rated out-
put power of your generating set.
Note : Electrical appliances (saws, drills, etc.) draw more current than the value shown on the manufacturer's nameplate when under severe load. For instan-
ce, a saw which is used for cutting an extremely hard material, will need 3 to 4 times the nameplate rating.
