9. TROUBLESHOOTING
9.1. Problems, causes and solutions
Problem
The machine does not start.
The loaf is poorly cut.
The machine makes too much
noise.

Cause
The power supply cable is not
connected.
The safety cover is not closed.
The loaf was pressed too hard.
The loaf moves uncontrollably
between the knives.
The tension of the knives is too
low.
The knives are dull.
The loaf moves too much
between the knives.
The tension of the V-belt is not
correct.
The tension of the knives is too
high.
The bearings of the lower shaft
are not sufficiently lubricated.
The loaf sticks to the knives.

Solution
Connect the power supply
cable.
Close the safety cover.
Check the limit switch.
Reduce the pressure and
speed of the lever of the
pusher.
Adjust the upper knife guide.
Check the springs.
Adjust the tension of the
knives.
Replace the knives.
Reduce the speed of the
pusher.
Guide the loaf with the lever of
the upper knife guide.
Adjust the tension of the
V-belt.
Adjust the tension of the
knives.
Lubricate the bearings (see
8.4.).
Do not cut hot bread.
Clean the knives.
