RECORDING.
BASIC RECORDING
Use the buttons on the cassette deck.
This section explains how to record from the tuner, or external
sources.
See pages 38 to 40 for details on dubbing the tape.
See page 42 for details on recording from the CD player.
Preparation
¢ Wind up the tape to the point where recording will start.
¢ Normal (type I), CrOz (type II) and metal (type IV) tapes can
be recorded.
7 Insert the tape to be recorded on into DECK 2.
Insert the tape with the side to be recorded first facing
the foreground and the exposed side down.
2 Press the DOLBY NR button to turn Dolby NR on
or off.
To record with DOLBY NR, turn on DOLBY NR.
To record without DOLBY NR, turn off DOLBY NR.
3 Press the REVERSE
MODE button to select the
reverse mode.
To record on one side only, turn on =.
To record on both sides, turn on >
or
©.
4 Press one of the FUNCTION
buttons
on the
amplifier and prepare the source to be recorded.
Select
either
TUNER,
PHONO,
VIDEO1/AUX1,
or
VIDEO2/AUX2.
5 Adjust the sound.
The BBE system and graphic equalizer settings affect the
recording. See pages 28 and 30 for details on the BBE system
and graphic equalizer.
6 Press the @/O REC/REC
MUTE
buiton to start
recording.
To stop recording
Press the li STOP button on DECK 2.
To pause recording
Press the Il PAUSE button on DECK 2. (Applicable when the
source is TUNER, VIDEO1/AUX1 or VIDEO2/AUX2.)
To resume recording, press again.
To start recording with the remote control
First press the @/O REC/REC MUTE button, and then press the
DECK 2 < > button within 2 seconds.
NOTES
¢ If the BBE, graphic equalizer and MIC MIXING settings are too
high, the recorded sound may be distorted.
Monitor the
spectrum analyzer display, and adjust so that the frequency
levels are not too high before recording.
_¢The
VOLUME,
BALANCE and SUPER T-BASS settings do
not affect the recording.
