RECORDING FROM THE CD PLAYER
Use the buttons on the cassette deck.
The CD SYNCHRO REC function allows you to record from the
recommended Aiwa CD player with ease.
Preparation
¢ Wind up the tape to the leader point.
17 Insert the tape to be recorded on into DECK 2.
Make sure that the desired disc(s) is/are loaded with the label
side up in the connected CD player.
2 Press the DOLBY NR button to turn DOLBY NR
on or off.
To record with DOLBY NR, turn on DOLBY NR.
To record without DOLBY NR, turn off DOLBY
NR.
3 Press the REVERSE
MODE button to select the
reverse mode.
To record on one side only, turn on =x.
To record on both sides, turn on >
or @.
4 Adjust the sound.
The BBE system and graphic equalizer settings affect the
recording. See pages 28 and 30 for details on the BBE system
and graphic equalizer.
5 Press the CD SYNCHRO REC button.
The deck plays the leader for 10 seconds before recording
on the front side of the tape. Play of the disc and recording
start simultaneously.

When the CD SYNCHRO REC function is used, the CD player
returns to the beginning of an interrupted track and resume
recording on the reverse side of the tape when DECK 2
reverses direction in the middle of a track.
To stop recording
Press the ll button.
To record from more than one disc
DECK 2 enters the recording pause mode when the current track
ends and the disc is changed for multiple discs or rotary changer
system CD players. Recording resumes when the next track is
played.
During CD SYNCHRO
REC, it is not possible to listen to other
sources.
To erase a recording
1 Press the TAPE button on amplifier.
2 Insert the tape to be erased into DECK 2.
3 Wind up the tape to the point where the erasure is to be
started.
4 Set the reverse mode by pressing the REVERSE
MODE
button.
5 Press the @/O REC/REC MUTE button to start the erasure.
