CONNECTING OPTIONAL
EQUIPMENT
Refer to the Operating Instructions of the connected equipment
for details.
* Obtain the necessary connecting cords.
* Consult your local Aiwa dealer for adequate optional equipment.
TV OR VIDEO UNITS — BY
Two video units and a TV set for monitoring can be connected to
this unit.
Use cables with RCA phono plugs.
Connecting a TV set ~ @
Connect to the MONITOR OUT terminal.
You can watch the video playback of either of the connected
video units on the TV. Press the VIDEO1/AUX1
or
VIDEO2/AUX2 button on the amplifier to select one of the
video units.
'VIDEO1" or "VIDEO2" appears in the display window of the
amplifier accordingly.

Connect to the VIDEO1/AUX1
IN or VIDEO2/AUX2 IN (AUDIO
L, R) terminals.
INOTE|
* Audio signals of the equipment connected to the VIDEO1/AUX1
IN terminals are not output through the REC OUT terminal.
* We recommend that the TV set be placed to the right of the
system.
SURROUND SPEAKERS -— E]
Connect the optional surround speakers @ to the SURROUND
SPEAKERS
terminals. Connect the right speaker to the R
terminal, and the left speaker to the L terminal.
Place the surround speakers behind the listening area.
POWERED SUPER WOOFER ~ EI
Connect an optional powered super woofer with a built-in amplifier
© to the SUPER WOOFER terminal.
DAT OR MD RECORDER ~
Recording on a DAT or MD through an analog cord ~ @
The unit can output analog sound signals for all functions through
the REC OUT (AUDIO L, R) terminals.
Use a cable with RCA
phono plugs for the connection.
Listening to DAT or MD sound with this unit — ©
Connect a cable with RCA phono plugs to the VIDEOQ1/AUX1 IN
(AUDIO L, R) terminals.
NOTE
Do not connect an equipment to the REC OUT terminals and
VIDEO2/AUX2
IN terminals simultaneously. Otherwise, noise is
generated and malfunction occurs.
