is greater than the set threshold (the factory
setting is 0.3mm).
18. beeper
The intensity of the beeper can be adjusted:
1 – LOW = low beeper volume
2 – MID = medium beeper volume (factory
setting)
3 – HIGH = high beeper volume
- OFF disabled
19. Set factory data:
-
to reset the initial machine configuration Ma-
chine calibrations are not modified.
To save the new settings, press the Save
button and press the Exit button
to go back to the main working screen.
6.3. balancing environment
This feature allows you to select the desired
work environment according to the type of
wheels to be balanced, namely:
- CAR for car wheels with central hole
- MOTO for Moto wheels
- FLANGE for car wheels without center hole
In the FLANGE and MOTO environment,
the pedal of the automatic locking system is
disabled because the centering of the wheel
is done by using the respective accessories.
While the use of the FLANGE balancer equals
the AUTO environment, the MOTO mode
changes as described in the section "Wheel-
base balancing".
6.4. Unbalance sensitivity calibration
This procedure should be performed whenever
calibration appears to be out of the tolerance range
or when the machine requires this procedure to be
performed by displaying the E 1 error message.
Calibrate as follows:
-
select the sensitivity calibration icon in the
configuration programme menu;
-
Fit a wheel of average dimensions (diameter
no less than 14") and preferably with a small
imbalance only on the wheel balancer.
-
perform a spin;
-
At the end of the spin, fix the calibration
weight supplied with the machine on the
82
EM9780 plus - EM9780 C plus AutomaticLine - Operator's manual
shaft assembly bell as indicated in figure 22.
-
perform a second spin;
-
At the end of the spin, change the position of
the calibration weight on the shaft assembly
bell as indicated in figure 23
-
Perform a third spin. This last calibration phase
consists of three consecutive spins executed
automatically.
If the calibration has been successful, a permis-
sion acoustic signal goes off at the end of the
spin; otherwise, the E 2 message is temporarily
displayed.
Notes:
- Once the procedure is finished, remove the
calibration weight.
-
Press the key to interrupt the calibration
procedure at any time.
-
This calibration is valid for any kind of wheel.
