There is no input assignment when selecting Ready for operation, Error, or
Safety outputs. The switch-on/switch-off delay time of between 0.0 s and
99.9 s for the outputs can be set in 0.1 second intervals.
LED displays
Operating time
The operating time is the maximum time permitted on a sensor between actu-
ation of both sensor contacts.
For two-hand control, this is the maximum time that may elapse between the
actuation of the two sensors.
If OR logic is configured, it is sufficient that an assigned safety input is correctly
actuated. If a delay time error is detected at another assigned safety input, the
assigned safety output is still switched on.
Safe condition
The safety outputs are opened or with high resistance.

Installation
Danger of electrocution!
Ensure that the safety evaluation unit is installed and put into
operation only by specially trained, authorized personnel.

NOTE ON INSTALLATION
The unit is designed for heat dissipation by convection. A mini-
mum distance of 3 cm above and below the device is required for
heat dissipation. Ensure that sufficient ventilation is present.
In particular, ensure that the wiring does not prevent convection.
The device may be installed horizontally (Fig. 1) and vertically
(Fig. 2). For vertical installation, the maximum permissible ambi-
ent temperature is reduced by 10 °C. For optimum heat dissipa-
tion in the horizontal installation position, we recommend
maintaining a distance of approx. 1 cm between the devices.

- Snap the safety evaluation unit onto a top-hat rail (DIN EN 60715 TH35) in
the control cabinet. The safety evaluation unit is fixed.
- Connect the safety control unit.
The pluggable terminal blocks can be coded by means of pins, the sockets
in the device are inversely coded by means of coding tabs.
- If the safety input remains free:
Ensure that the NO contacts of this safety input are bridged.
10 Electrical connection
- Installation and electrical connection are only permitted in a de-energized state.
- Ensure that the specifications described in the technical specifications are met.
- Measures must be taken to improve the equipment's immunity to conducted
and radiated radio frequency interference (DIN EN 60204-1:2019-06).
When connecting a sensor, the sensor supply voltage (+) and (-) must be used
from the terminals specified in the technical specifications.
