1 INTRODUCTION
Functions and use of the Use and Maintenance Manual
Before working on the machine, carefully read and understand this Use and Maintenance Manual in full in order to safeguard
the operator and to avoid damaging the machine. These instructions describe how to operate the product safely, economi-
cally and in compliance with the current safety regulations. Following these instructions helps avoid dangerous situations,
reduces repair costs and down-time of the product and extends the life-span of the product itself. This manual must be intact
and legible in its entirety. Every operator involved in using the product or in charge of maintenance must know the location
and be able to read it whenever needed.
The manufacturer declines all liability for production faults and for damage caused by the product to property, persons and
animals in the following cases:
•
Misuse of the product for purposes and/or functionality other than that for which it was built;
•
Non-compliance with the requirements set out in this manual;
•
Use under environmental operating conditions other than those specified in this manual;
•
Non-compliance with assembly conditions/prescriptions;
•
Insufficient or deficient periodic maintenance;
•
Modifications or interventions not agreed upon and authorised by the manufacturer;
•
Use of non-original or non-model-specific spare parts;
•
Use in enclosed spaces;
•
Use near overhead power lines;
•
Use by persons under 16 years of age or over 80 years of age or with physical limitations;
•
Use by unsuitable, unauthorised, untrained personnel;
•
Use by supervisory personnel who are not adequately trained and informed as required by Italian Legislative Decree
81/2008 et seq. (Directive 89/391/EC or Directive 2009/104/EC) on workplace safety;
•
Use that does not comply with the laws on machine safety and/or the safety regulations of the specific European and/or
national legislation in force in the workplace;
•
Total or partial non-compliance with these instructions and/or the prohibition and prescription notes in this manual;
•
Exceptional events;
The user/employer's personnel are responsible for the application of the safety requirements set out below and the intended
activities, and they must ensure that the personnel authorised to operate, maintain, etc.:
•
are qualified to perform the required activity;
•
are trained, informed and instructed in the use of the product and to carry out maintenance activities;
•
know and scrupulously observe the requirements contained in this document;
•
know and apply the general and specific safety regulations applicable to the machine.
It is a mandatory requirement that all user/employer personnel, and in particular the technical maintenance personnel,
have read and understood this manual, are familiar with and have the basic principles of mechanics, electricity and are
skilled in the use of such products/machinery.
Failure to observe the safety regulations and the instructions given therein may result in injury to property and persons as well
as damage to the machine's components and control unit.
A reading of this manual, although exhaustive, can under no circumstances replace adequate experience of the personnel in
charge and authorised to operate and maintain the machine.
The user may, at any time, contact the manufacturer to request further information in addition to that contained herein, as well
as to submit proposals for improvement.
PROHIBITION OF MODIFICATIONS
It is forbidden to carry out any modification work on the machine, and in particular it is forbidden to carry out modifications that
may reduce the safety of the machine. In particular, it is forbidden to remove or modify guards and/or safety and/or signalling
and/or control systems provided by the Manufacturer.
