7 DEMOLITION AND DISMANTLING OF COMPONENTS
Disposal of exhaust materials
After installation/assembly and during normal operation, the machine does not cause any environmental pol-
lution. However, throughout its service life, some types of waste or exhaust materials are produced in certain
situations (for example, lubrication grease/oil of the mechanical parts) that require proper disposal.
There are specific regulations in every country about environmental protection, including how to dispose of
these materials. The Customer must be aware of the laws in force in their country and operate in compliance
with these laws and the instructions provided in the technical data sheets of the products used.
CAUTION!
The laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils, greases and processing residues must be followed.
CAUTION!
More information about the disposal of oils/greases and other substances can be found in the safety data
sheets of the substances.
The steps employed in the disposal of toxic waste including the collecting, transporting, processing (transfor-
mation for recycling), as well as the depositing and the dumping onto the ground are all usual activities of
common interest and are subject to the following general principles:
a)
Any damage or danger to the health and safety of the community and any individual must be
avoided.
b)
Compliance with any and all hygienic-sanitary requirement and avoidance of any air, water,
ground and underground pollution have to be guaranteed.
Compliance with efficient and economical principles in order to save and recycle energy and materials shall be
promoted.
Indications for special waste
Special waste is that deriving from industrial processes as well as from materials of dismantled equipment and
deteriorated and obsolete machinery.
The special (also toxic and harmful) waste producers shall provide for its disposal directly or through qualified,
authorised companies or bodies, or shall deliver them to public service after having made an agreement.
When disposing of special waste, check with the relevant local government authority for any available infor-
mation regarding such waste disposal in your region.
CAUTION!
Any unauthorised disposal by the owner of a product is followed by the application of the sanctions provided
for by the regulations in force.
CAUTION!
In compliance with WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, any purchased product marked with the symbol of the crossed
out waste bin means that it has to be collected separately from other waste at the end of its service life.
The separate collection of this component/product at the end of its service life is organised and man-
aged by the Manufacturer.
Users who wish to dispose of this equipment will have to contact the manufacturer and follow the
manufacturer's system for separate collection of end-of-life equipment.
The adequate separate collection and the following processing and eco-friendly disposal avoid neg-
ative effects on health and the environment and allow recycling and/or reuse of the materials the
equipment is made of.
Any unauthorised disposal by the end-user will entail the application of sanctions in accordance with
the laws in force.
