Symbols and qualification of operators
All human-machine interactions herein described must be performed by personnel defined in compliance with the manufacturer's
manual. Each procedure is accompanied by a pictogram which indicates the operator considered most suitable for the tasks to
be performed. The indications required to identify the personnel qualifications are given below.
Operator
Properly trained, authorised and qualified user personnel, through knowledge and practical experience, who have received the
necessary instructions for the safe use of the machine for the tasks for which it was constructed and supplied.
He/she must be able to perform all the operations necessary for assembly/installation, the proper functioning of the machine
and for the safety of him/herself or any co-workers.
He/she must have proven experience in the correct use of these types of machines and be authorised to operate them. He/she
must be properly trained, informed and instructed in this regard, including by understanding this manual as well as by attending
the courses provided for by current legislation.
In case of doubt, he/she must report any anomaly to his/her superior.
He/she is not authorised to carry out any extraordinary maintenance activities. The operator may only carry out routine
maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, chain tensioning, etc.) in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
Mechanical maintenance technician
Qualified technician capable of operating the machine like the operator, working on mechanical parts for adjustments, mainte-
nance and repairs and able to read diagrams, technical drawings and parts lists.
He/she is not qualified to work on live electrical systems (if any).
Where necessary, he/she can give the operator instructions on how to use the machine properly for production purposes
Electrical / electronic maintenance technician
Qualified technician capable of operating the machine like the operator, working on adjustments and electrical systems for
maintenance, repair, and replacement of worn parts.
Must be able to read wiring diagrams, verify the correct functional cycle.
He/she may only work in the presence of voltage inside electrical panels, junction boxes, control equipment etc. if he/she is a
suitable person (PEI) (See EN50110-1 and EN 50110-2).
Where necessary, he/she can give the operator instructions on how to use the machine properly for production purposes
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTRES
These are the technical assistance centres (also called C.A.T.) that Campagnola S.r.l. has authorised to carry out ser-
vice/repair activities on Campagnola products.
DANGER/CAUTION!
This symbol followed by the word DANGER in the first case indicates a danger of accident, disability, or serious
injury, even death, to personnel; whereas if it is followed by the word CAUTION it represents a warning with risk of
accident or medium-entity injury to the user's personnel or possible damage to the machine, equipment or other personal
property of the purchaser/user.
