PH PROBE CALIBRATION WITH TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION
Keep pressing Enter button for 3 seconds to
enter in the main Menu. Move the cursor to
Calibration and press Enter to do the Calibration
Move the cursor to Calibration PH and press
Enter.
V-MS shows the temperature measured by the
PT100 or, if this is not available, V-MS offers
temperature programmed manually in the
System Utility menu.
It is always possible to set the temperature manually (using the buttons
or not. After setting the temperature of the buffer solution, press Enter to confirm.
V-MS shows the pH measure. Change the
reading by entering the value of the buffer
solution (7.00pH) and confirm by Enter button.

THIS KIND OF CALIBRATION IS RECOMMENDED WHEN:
1) YOU NEED A HIGH ACCURACY ADJUSTMENT ( HIGHER THAN 0.05pH)
2) THE PT100 TEMPERATURE PROBE IS AVAILABLEOR THE TEMPERATURE OF THE
WATER IN THE PLANT IS WELL KNOWN AND YOU WANT VERY ACCURATE
READINGS
3) USER IS EXPERT
Before starting the calibration, take care to prepare the two buffer solutions for pH calibration:
-1 Solution at pH 7
-1 Solution at pH 9.01 or pH 4.01 or any other solution
V-MS manage automatically the temperature compensation on the pH reading.
If you have a PT100 temperature probe and you want to use it during calibration, connect it to
terminals 15,16,17,18 following the instructions on pages 4 and 5. Set temperature readings by
PT100 in System Utility menu. Return to measurement mode and dip the PT100 in the buffer
solution at pH 7 together with the pH probe.
If you do not have the PT100 probe or you do not want to use it during the calibration because
you know the temperature of the buffer solutions, dip the pH probe in the buffer solution at pH 7
and during the calibration manually modify the temperature of the buffer solution.
