Move the cursor on Offset and press Enter.
Edit 0µS (minimum reading) with the
buttons. Press Enter to confirm.
Press ESC to return to measurement. The measure will be 1µS flashing.
GAIN CALIBRATION
There are two ways to calibrate the conductivity meter V-MS.
The first way calibrates the reading cutting out errors related to the change in temperature. This is the "Calibration method
without temperature reading compensation ".
The second way involves calibrates the temperature compensated readings. This is the "Calibration method with
temperature reading compensation".
The first method is more accurate.
The second method is simpler and faster.
CALIBRATION METHOD WITHOUT TEMPERATURE READING COMPENSATION
Before entering the calibration, prepare the buffer solution for the calibration.
Always use a buffer solution as close as possible to the working point.
For example, if you bought a V-MS with range 1000μS - 20.00mS and you want to work around to 10.00 mS, it is
recommended to use the 12 880μS buffer solution. Dip the probe into the buffer solution.
You should know the value of the buffer solution's temperature then it is advisable to immerse the Pt100 into the buffer
solution and read the temperature on the display of V-MS waiting for its stabilization. If you have a CD probe with a
PT100 integrated it is sufficient to dip the CD probe into the buffer solution (this is the case of the picture below) . When
the two readings are stable (conductivity and temperature reading), take note of the temperature reading and proceed as
the following instructions.
Press Enter for 3
seconds to enter the
Navigation Menu and
then move the cursor on
Calibration.
Press Enter to proceed
with Calibration.
Move the cursor on
Calibration CD and
press Enter.
Move the cursor on C.
Temperature and press
Enter.
Edit 0.0 by pressing
Enter.
Now the temperature compensation function is
disabled and so it is possible to go on with gain calibration.
