Rinse with clean water the pH probe and the PT100 probe (if you are using it), gently remove the
water droplets in excess and dip them into the buffer solution at pH 9.01 or 4.01 or any other
value.
V-MS shows the
temperature
measured by the
PT100 or, if this is not
available, V-MS offers
temperature programmed manually in the System Utility menu.
It is always possible to set the temperature manually (using the buttons
using the PT100 probe or not. After setting the temperature of the buffer solution, press Enter to
confirm.
V-MS shows the pH measure of the second
buffer solution. Correct the reading (if it is
necessary) by entering the pH value indicated
on the buffer solution's bottle at the
temperature considered. Confirm with the
Enter button.
After the Gain calibration V-MS determines the Quality of the Offset and Gain of the pH probe:
100% = Excellent probe
50% = Good probe to be monitored
25% = probe that you should change
0% = fully exhausted probe
While viewing the quality of the probe press Enter to return to the calibration menu or ESC to return to measurement.
NOTE: after the offset calibration, if you hold down the ESC button it is possible to exit the calibration without making the
adjustment of Gain. Please note that it is not recommended to do that and the pH readings made after that may have very
high errors !!! We recommend to calibrate always the offset and the gain !!!
