Evaluating the measurements
An individual's blood pressure frequently changes throughout
the course of a day. Excitement and tension can cause blood
pressure to rise, while drinking alcohol and bathing can lower
blood pressure. Certain hormones like adrenaline (which
your body releases under stress) can cause blood vessels to
constrict, leading to a rise in blood pressure.
If the blood pressure measuring numbers become too high, it
means the heart is working harder than it should.
High blood pressure is a dangerous disease and can affect one's
quality of life. It can lead to a multitude of problems such as cardiac
insufficiency, kidney failure and cerebral bleeding. A healthy life-
style and regular visits to one's physician make it much easier to
keep high blood pressure and associated diseases under control,
particularly if they are diagnosed in the early stages.
If blood pressure is classified as optimal, normal or
elevated normal, the green backlight will illuminate.
If blood pressure is classified as slightly elevated, the
yellow backlight will illuminate.
If blood pressure is classified as moderate high or
severe high blood pressure, the red backlight will
illuminate.
Cardiac arrhythmia
− If the blood pressure monitor detects an irregular heart
rhythm two or more times during the measuring process, the
arrhythmia indicator
− Irregular heart rhythm is defined as a heart rhythm that is
either 25 % slower or faster than the average heart rhythm.
− Consult your physician if the arrhythmia indicator fre-
quently appears with your measurement results. At the
same time, make sure you comply with the basic rules
