Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this blood pressure
monitor. It contains important information about us-
ing and handling the product.
Before using the blood pressure monitor, read the user manu-
al carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions.
Failure to heed this user manual may result in severe injury or
damage to the blood pressure monitor.
Store the user manual for future use. Make sure to include this
user manual when passing the blood pressure monitor on to
third parties. When passing the device on to third parties, also
advise them of the risks that can arise in connection with the
blood pressure monitor.
Proper use
The blood pressure monitor is only designed for non-invasive
measurement of systolic, diastolic blood pressure and pulse
rate of adults, using the oscillometric method. The results are
shown on the display of the blood pressure monitor.
The blood pressure monitor issues a warning in the event of
possible cardiac arrhythmia. The levels measured are classified
and rendered in accordance with the guidelines of the WHO
(World Health Organization).
The blood pressure measurement taken with this blood pres-
sure monitor corresponds to the one of a trained observer
according to the cuff/stethoscope auscultation method within
the limits defined by the Recognized Consensus Standard for
electronic sphygmomanometers.
The blood pressure monitor is not intended to be used for tod-
dlers and children.
