7.1 Installing the control box (optional)
Risk of crushing due to incorrect control box insulation
If the control box is improperly positioned when installed, the hands can be trapped when the control box
door is open.

► See the control box installation instructions.
► Use suitable attachment materials to secure the control box to the wall.
7.2 Breakout board
7.2.1 Description of the breakout board
The breakout board is a printed circuit board that acts as a signal interface between the robot and the sensor
head, and that supplies the sensor head with power. No calculations are performed on the printed circuit
board; these occur in the processor installed in the sensor head.
7.2.2 Attaching the breakout board
7.2.3 Establishing the electronic connections to the breakout board

CAUTION
Electronic connections and indicator LEDs on the breakout board
The breakout board must be attached to a spacer with
a minimum length of 10 mm.
Screw the breakout board in place using the
1
attachment holes provided (5×). Ensure that no metal
from the attachment pins or posts protrudes above the
attachment holes and the copper circles surrounding
them.
The copper circle from the printed circuit board
electronics is isolated.
Ensure that the attachment does not cause a short
2
circuit with the neighboring conductor paths or
components. Printed circuit boards should ideally be
attached using isolated posts.
