Fault
Ethernet connection cannot
be established.
Power supply cannot be

12 Disassembly
Disconnect the device from the power supply.

Switch off the power to the entire welding system/welding machine or robot.

Disconnect the sensor cable from the sensor head.

Close the gas supply (if applicable).

Disconnect all cables and supply connections.

Remove the device from the system/robot.

Release the sensor head from the quick-release plate/cooling element.

Remove the sensor head from the quick-release plate/cooling element.

► Have a trained specialist perform an internal sensor inspection or
contact the ABICOR BINZEL service team.
► Have a trained specialist clean the sensor's inner protective glass or
contact the ABICOR BINZEL service team.
► Have a trained specialist replace lenses or contact the
ABICOR BINZEL service team.
► Have a trained specialist replace the CMOS camera or contact the
ABICOR BINZEL service team.
► Have a trained specialist replace the laser or contact the
ABICOR BINZEL service team.
► Have the ABICOR BINZEL service team perform a calibration.
Cause
Sensor cable is not correctly inserted in the
sensor head and the breakout board.
Ethernet cable from the breakout board to the
Ethernet switch or PC/PLC is not correctly
inserted.
Sensor cable not correctly connected.
Optics dirty.
Incorrectly configured parameters.
Working distance configured incorrectly.

Troubleshooting
► Check if the sensor cable is correctly
connected.
► Check if the Ethernet cable is correctly
connected.
► Have an electrician check if the power
supply is correctly established.
► Check if the replaceable protective window
is dirty and replace if necessary.
► Check if all parameters in the software
interface have been correctly configured.
Software instructions
► Check that the working distance has been
correctly configured.
