down to room temperature.
10) Take the battery pack (24) out of the charger (25) by pressing and holding the battery release button
(28) and pulling the battery pack 249) out of the charger (25).
REMOVING /INSERTING THE BATTERY
3. To remove the battery pack (24) from the tool, press the battery release button (28) on the battery pack
(24) and pull the battery out.
4. To insert the battery pack (24), place it on a guide track and push it back into the tool. It will audibly
snap in.
CHECKING THE BATTERY CHARGING LEVEL
The battery comes with an integrated battery level indication.
The battery status is displayed as follows by the three LEDs of the battery level indication (27)

Green-Orange-Red
Orange-Red

Press on the battery charge level button (26) on the battery pack (24). You can read the battery status
from the battery level indication LED (27).
CAUTION!
 If the red charge control LED (29) flashes, it means that the battery pack (24) has been overheated and
cannot be charged.
 If both the red and greed charge control LED (29) (30) flash, it means that the battery pack (24) is
defected.
MOUNTING THE TUBULAR SHAFT (FIG. C)
Before mounting, remove the protection cap(s) from the tubular shaft (2).
 Loosen the Tommy nut (3).
 Pull the lock/Release (8) outward and turn it left or right as far as it goes.
 Slide the front tubular shaft (2)onto tubular shaft of motor unit (4).
 Pull the Lock/Release (8)outward and turn it back to its initial position.
 Turn the front tubular shaft (2) with a gentle rotating movement until the lock/Release (8) clicks into
place in the bore on the front tubular shaft (2).
 Fix the tubular shaft in place with the Tommy nut (3). Tighten the Tommy nut (3) until no more play is
discernible on the front tubular shaft.
ATTACHING THE FRONT HANDLE (FIG.D)
 NOTE: The front handle (5) must be mounted with a spacing of at least 25cm to the device handle (34).
 NOTE: the leg protection (7) must always be mounted on the operator side.
 Place the front handle (5) onto the tubular shaft (4);
 Place the leg protection (7) under the tubular shaft (4);
 Aline the front handle (4) and the leg protection (7);
 Screw the four nuts (35) tightly with the Hex socket wrench (5mm).
MOUNTING THE GUIDE BAR AND SAW CHAIN (FIG. E)
NOTE: Pay attention to the correct rotation direction of the saw chain. This indicates above the bar bolt
(40).
 Place the device on a flat surface.
 Remove the chain wheel cover (36) by loosening the nut (37) with the open spanner (23).
 Place the saw chain (1) into the blade groove and into the chain sprocket (39).
 Place the guide bar (38) and saw chain onto the bar bolt (40). When the nose on the right below the
bar bolt (40) sits in the lower round recessed on the guide bar, the guide bar is placed correctly. It is
normal for the saw chain (1) to sag.
