der ~olzfeuchtigkeitdmesser Aqua-Boy zu erklaren. Sie kann jedoch keine allgemeingultigen
Regeln aufstellen. Nach wie vor bedarf es lhrer handwerklichen Erfahrung, die MeBresultate
entsprechend den Umstanden richtig auszuwerten. Deshalb kann auch keinerlei Schadens-
haftung im Bezug auf diese Broschijre ubernommen werden.

This Manual is meant to explain the many and versatile practical uses of the Aqua-Boy Timber
Moisture Meters. It cannot establish generally applicable rules. What is still required is your
experience as a craftsman that enables you to correctly interpret and apply the test results in
accordance with the circumstances. This is why we can accept no liability for anything
contained in this brochure.

Ces instructions ont pour but d'expliquer les nombreuses possibilites d'utilisation pratique
des hygrometres pour le bois Aqua-Boy. Elles ne peuvent cependant pas etablir des regles
gbnerales. Tout comme avant, I'expbrience du metier est necessaire pour savoir tirer profit
correctement des resultats des mesures faites, selon les circonstances. C'est aussi pourquoi
aucune responsabilite en cas de dommage ne saurait &re retenue en ce qui concerne cette

cada caso dado 10s resultados de las mediciones efectuadas. Por esta razon no nos es
posible asumir responsibilidad alguna en virtud de estas instrucciones.

Zur Bestimmung der Holzfeuchtigkeit sind erforderlich: Waage mit O,lO/o Genauigkeit. Beluf-

sind mit einem scharfen Werkzeug zu entnehmen, gemaI3 DIN 52180. Bei unklimatisiertem
Holz mussen mehrere Proben gemittelt werden. Die Probe wird nach Entnahme gewogen, dann

For determining the moisture in wood the following is required: Balance with an accuracy of
0.1 %. Ventilated drying oven permitting to be heated (to 130
OC ?
2 OC). Dessicator with
dessicant. Samples are to be taken with a sharp tool in accordance with DIN 52180. In case
of unseasoned wood, the mean of several samples must be obtained. Once taken, the sample
is to be weighed and then to be dried in the drying oven at 1 0 3 f 2 O C until it has reached

armoire a secher aeree chauffable (a 1032 2OC). Un dessicateur avec dessechant. Les
Bchantillons doivent gtre preleves avec un outil acere, selon DIN 52180. S'il s'agit de bois
non climatise, il faut alors faire la moyenne entre plusieurs echantillons. Apres I'avoir choisi,
peser I'Bchantillon, puis le secher dans I'armoire de s6chage a une temperature de (103 ?2OC),
jusqu'a ce que le poids reste constant. Puis refroidir dans le dessicateur et repeser. Le pour-
centage d'humiditb est calcule selon la formule suivante :
