c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other small metal objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals
together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the
battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or
modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of
injury.
f) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive
temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130 °C
may cause explosion.
g) Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or tool outside the temperature range
specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at
temperatures outside the specified range may damage the
battery and increase the risk of fire.
1.1.6 Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery
packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or
authorized service providers.
1.2 Specific safety warnings for application tools
CAUTION
Cutting hazard caused by sharp blade.
The blade in the flush-cut nosepiece is very sharp.
Never touch the blade with your fingers.
a) Use only the manufacturer's genuine battery pack and
charger. The use of other-make battery packs and other-make
chargers can lead to safety risks, such as fire hazard or
explosion hazard.
b) Comply with the manufacturer's instructions for use and
storage of the battery pack. The manufacturer's instructions
are in the enclosed manufacturer's document for the battery
pack.
c) Dispose of faulty or end-of-life battery packs only by
handing them in at the appropriate collection points.
These are sales outlets for batteries and battery packs,
or local-authority collection points for hazardous waste.
d) To prevent accidental activation of the trigger, carry the
tool with hands away from the trigger or moving parts.
Remove the battery from the tool when not in use.
e) Never place your hands, fingers, or other body parts near
the tool's moving parts or between the cable tie and
bundle.
f) Tool is conductive and should not be used on hazardous
live voltages.
g) Use the tool only for its intended purpose. Avoid abusive
treatment, such as using the tool as a hammer, prop or prybar.
h) Use of a retaining strap is recommended to avoid
accidentally dropping tool.
i)
For optimal performance use only HellermannTyton nylon
cable ties. We do not recommend or warranty the ProCut tool
for use with other companies' cable ties.

1.4 Intended use
Use theProCut only when it is in full working order and safe,
always be safety-conscious and aware of the hazards.
The ProCut is suitable for and intended for the following uses:
• Pulling and cutting plastic cable ties
• Use indoors and, under rainproof roofing, outdoors
• Industrial use
1.5 Misuse
Use other than as stated in the section entitled "Intended use" on
page 6 is misuse. The operator of the ProCut. bears sole
responsibility for injury and damage resulting from misuse.
The following are specifically prohibited:
• Use with faulty parts
• Use in explosive environments or in the presence of a fire
hazard
• Use in high humidity and/or direct sunlight
• Simultaneous use by two or more persons
• Unauthorised alterations and modifications to the ProCut and
its accessories without the prior consent of HellermannTyton
• Use of spare parts and accessories not tested and approved
beforehand by HellermannTyton
• Operation of the ProCut with the housing open
