INSTALLATION OF MITER-LOCK KNOB
1. Locate the miter-lock knob from Loose
Parts.
2. Assemble the miter-lock knob into the front
of the Table as shown in Fig. 2.
Do Not Over Tighten.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE

performing any assembly, adjustment, or
repair to avoid possible injury.
NOTICE: Clean the blade of any excess oil
before installation.
1. Rotate the lower guard 1 by hand so that
the lower guard linkage is not in front of
the blade bolt.
2. Press and hold the spindle lock. Use the
large hex wrench to remove the blade bolt
4 by turning the wrench clockwise.
NOTICE: The blade screw has a left-hand
thread.
3. Remove the blade bolt 4, outer washer 5,
and blade 6. Inner washer 7 does not need
to be removed (Fig. 3a, 3b).
4. To install the 12" blade, fit the blade
between the chip deflectors 8 and onto the
inner washer shoulder 9 (Fig. 3a, 3b).

NOTICE: Make sure that the rotation arrow
on the blade matches the clockwise rotation
arrow on the lower guard.

5. Replace the outer washer 5 in the proper
orientation and finger-tighten the blade bolt
4. Press the spindle lock and tighten the
blade bolt 4 securely, but do not overtighten.
6. Rotate the lower guard to the Down position.
7. Be sure that the spindle lock is released
and that the blade turns freely.
WARNING
into the table slot and check for any blade
contact with the base or the turntable
structure. If the blade contacts the table, seek
authorized service.
