Crown Molding Angled to Table and Fence
(Nested)
The advantage of cutting molding angled
against fence is that no bevel setting is
required; only the miter angle is adjusted.
The maximum 38°/52° crown molding width
that can be cut and angled to table and fence
is 5-1/2".
When cutting crown molding in this fashion,
it is recommended to use the right and left
Crown Stops.
1. Attach crown stops to the sides of the base
using the crown-stop knobs 1.
2. Position the molding so that the bottom (the
decorative part that is installed against the
wall) is against the fence 2 (Fig. 28).

3. Adjust the position of the crown stops so
that they support the side of the crown
molding touching the table and fully secure
the crown 3.
4. For a 90° corner, use the chart below to
set the miter angle. Tighten the miter-lock
knob.
5. Support the crown molding against the
fence (see Body and Hand Position).
WARNING
dry run with the saw OFF by conducting a
simulated cutting cycle and observe the
projected path of the saw blade. Keep
hands at least six (6) inches away from
the projected path of the saw blade.
6. Follow the procedures for miter cuts.
7. Wait until the blade comes to a complete
stop before returning the head assembly
to the raised position and/or removing the
workpiece.
