Configure X-zone Com so that in the event of an alarm, the system sends text messages (SMS) to
telephone numbers specified by the operator. In addition, the operator can check the current status
and send instructions to X-zone Com via text message (see Ch. 7).
Fig. 5.18: Settings for sending text messages (SMS). Here is where you determine what the text message shall say
if an alarm situation occurs. On the far right, is where you enter the "Read" and "Execute" pins.
Form "SMS" permits you to determine up to four text message recipients of alarm messages. To add
recipients, click [Add] and enter the phone numbers. With [Delete], you can remove a phone number
if you have highlighted it. If there are no telephone numbers, the system won't send text messages. It
is also possible to set a limit to the number of text messages the system sends daily. (1-99 text mes-
sages a day). This requires you to check the [Max. Alarms/Day] box. If you don't check the box, there
is no limit to the number of text messages per day.
Content: "Content" allows you to specify character sequences (do not use the following characters:
"§", "°", German umlauts or "ß") that follow the device name in every alarm text message. In addition,
you can specify if you want the alarm text message to contain the current measurement reading and
the ID of the X-zone 5x00 that issued the alarm, or if you'd prefer the message to contain only the
alarm type and gas type.
Alarm Sending: "Alarm Sending" is where you can determine which alarm circumstances will trigger an
alarm text message.
